Niagara Falls, Cananda. July 2012.

After touring St Jacob's Mennonite Community, we made the trip over to Niagara Falls, Canada. Todd had never been to Niagara Falls before, so the child-like excitement on his face, building and building as we approached the falls was so fun and exciting for me.

I won't lie though, as I was just as excited to see it again, as I was the very first time (when I was around 8yrs old). We parked at least a mile away...for free I might add, thanks to the patience and intelligence of my hubby. We are both healthy and can enjoy a long walk together anyways. Plus, it cost $20 to park in the designated parking lots and ride the shuttle bus!! Too much! We'd rather spend that money on souveniers.

He did this in Ukraine...put his hand into the Black Sea. Let's just start a new tradition. It's pretty neat though to say that you had your hand in the water at Niagara Falls!!

So you better believe I did it too!! =)

We took the Journey Behind the Falls tour, which gave us the chance to go down to this observatory deck, literally right beside the falls.

Being that close to the all of that water is just unreal. There's truly no way to describe how much water there is!!! All the time!!!

This gave us a better view of the tour boat as well. No thank you. I'll just watch you guys get soaked from here.

Thank goodness they gave us ponchos too! The wind blows the mist from the falls right over you!

Behind the actual falls, it sounds like a constant thunderstorm. It even shakes the ground somewhat. Scary! We were able to walk up this close to the opening, but obviously, you can't even see out through the massive amounts of water produced by the falls. Stunning.

After the tour, we had some down time before dark, but we wanted to stay and watch the falls light up. That doesn't happen until the sun goes down of course, so that gave us plenty of time to have a light dinner and then a healthy snack.

This was my first ever chocolate dipped frozed banana. It was TO DIE FOR!!!

My handsome husband, sporting his new Toronto Blue Jays shirt!!

Getting closer to dark! Just a little bit longer.

This was when they first turned the spotlights on the falls. You can see the pink and purple, and white colors standing out. It's much prettier in person, and as it gets darker. We were exhausted by this point, so decided to make the hike back to the car, and hit the sack. It's truly no question though, why Niagara Falls is listed as one of the world's seven wonders. Another bucket list add-on if you've never been.
