Today is Tuck's 1/2 birthday! Yes, he is 6 months old!! I truly cannot believe how quickly time has gone by...WAY WAY WAY TOOOOOOO FAST!!! So, we must celebrate, right!?!? Right!! We found it only fitting to serve everything in "1/2" portions =)
We even made 1/2 plates, a 1/2 cup to hold the plasticwares, and little 1/2 cups for the pretzels and carrots.
My favorite....his 1/2 cake!
This cake was frozen after our family baby shower, and thawed out earlier this week. It actually had completely different icing, but after thawing, it peeled itself off that cake like a banana!! So, Mama to the rescue! I re-iced it, and covered it in sprinkles!! It was actually REALLY REALLY good!!
I even made his 1/2 birthday hat! I just love it!
This is also the new, but vintage, Jenny Lind high chair we bought for Tuck. It still needs a little work, but we decided to wait until after his party for that.
Bottled water, with crystal light packets of all kinds! The drinks were the only things I couldn't technically "1/2" I guess! HaHa!
1/2 pretzel sticks and 1/2 carrot sticks
1/2 chocolate chip cookies, 1/2 strawberries and bananas, 1/2 chicken salad sandwiches, and 1/2 turkey/cheese sandwiches.
Mamaw made it for his little party! It was so special having her with us to celebrate!
Grandad and Mimi too!!
Two VERY proud parents.
Cousin Billy.
Cousin Benjamin.
Cousin Tristan.
Mamaw again!
Love his little onsie!! Thank you so much to my sweet friend, Wendy Taylor for this very special gift =) We love our little Tucker!
Mommy's sweet boy!!
"The guys" eating in the sunroom.
Everyone else, at the dining table inside.
Our 6mo old Tuck!
We took LOTS of pictures....
Actually, Aunt Collin took lots of pictures...
Thank you so much Aunt Collin, for capturing that sweet smile!!
First ever bites of Puffs!
He wasn't a huge fan at first...
Wasn't quite sure what to do with it...
Dropped a few in his lap.
Then he got the hang of it =)
Isn't he the cutest little birthday boy!?!
I love his sweet little expressions!
This is ADORABLE!! Tuck doesn't really like any form of "substance" in his mouth. Whether its a chunk of pear that didnt quite puree smoothly, or a puff....It's so cute!
We truly, without a doubt or hesitation, 100% love him more than life itself.
Grandad and Mimi brought a special gift for their grandson.
Tuck is just like his mama...he LOVES opening presents!
And gets so excited when he looks inside!!
He got two brand new outfits, that are gonna look SOOO cute on him this fall and winter. Thank you so much Grandad and Mimi!
Mamaw gave him (6) "1/2" dollar coins! So unique and thoughtful. I forgot to take a picture of them =( But they are already put away in Tuck's keepsake box. Thank you Mamaw! Awww... Look how excited he is!!!
Time to light the candles and sing "Happy 1/2 Birthday to you...."
Tuck loved the candles!! He helped us hold the cake stand...
....and blow out the candles. It was precious!! Such a special moment for this mommy and daddy!
Grandad, Mimi, Daddy, and Tuck.
Grandad, Mimi, and Tuck. He sure loves them. We're so thankful we live so close!
Tuck and Mimi have a really special bond...she keeps him for us while we work. Tuck says, what happens when Mimi's here, stays between me and Mimi =)
Uncle Andy, Aunt Collin, Cousins Billy (7yrs), Benjamin (4yrs), and Tristan (20mo), and Tuck.
Tuck and Mamaw. And Papaw is actually in this too...in the picture frame. I didn't even realize this until just now! That is so special to me! We sure missed him being here with us. But we know his sweet sweet Papaw is celebrating Tuck's 1/2 birthday in Heaven.
Mamaw, Tuck, and Mommy!
Mommy, Daddy, and Tuck.
We love you so much! We never ever knew how much love we could give to you, and how much love we would receive back from you. You're the most incredible, precious, invaluabe gift we have been given. We cannot wait to see how much more love, joy, and excitement you bring in the next 6 months, and the years to come!
Happy 1/2 Birthday, Tuck!! Silly as we are....
....there is no where else on earth we'd rather be....
....than right here, with you in our arms.
I don't even know what to say! This is PRECIOUS!!! I LOVE that high chair! I'm not pregnant, but I WILL have one of those antique, wooden high chairs for my kiddos!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kira! This is definitely a lasting memory that we will always always treasure :) ...and you definitely need one of these chairs when you have a little one!
